 My Coaching Philosophy:  

 

Every athlete is different, and although there are certain physiological principles that must be followed, each athlete can be trained differently to reach his/her potential.  The body and the mind must be addressed.  There are many routes that can lead you to the same destination.  My goal is to find the best route for you.  I believe in programs that are based upon the maintaining of the strengths and improving the weaknesses of the athlete.  Communication and understanding the needs of the athlete is essential.  I am neither a high volume nor low volume coach.  I teach appropriate volume and follow effort levels more than numbers.  I believe in coaching the person rather than a program. 

Through this philosophy I will design a training program specifically for YOU.  It can be a continuous coaching arrangement in which I send you training each week, or you may purchase a 10 week or 20 week program to prepare you for your destination.  In addition, if you reside in the Spokane area, you may schedule an individual appointment for an evaluation session and also discuss your individual training.  I will also post a weekly running tip video on this website.

Coaching Services

Personalized training programs designed for any distance or goal you may have.  Do you want to hit a certain time in a 5k or 10k?  Do you want to qualify for Boston?  Do you want to run your first marathon?  Do you want to train the best you can for Bloomsday, Bay to Breakers, Bolder- Boulder, Chicago, Boston, New York, cross country, or a track event? Do you just want to start a running program? I will get you there.  Here’s how:

Monthly Training Plan

Weekly Coaching

I will design a personalized training program to email to you each week.  We will communicate through emails and, if necessary, phone calls.  We will work together to reach your goals and establish a time line for you to achieve them.   It all starts with you filling out my questionnaire link below and getting it to me right away!  I will follow up with questions by email to get a clear understanding of your running goals. 

10 Week Training Program

Start by filling out my questionnaire at the link below and sending it back to me right away!  I will follow up with questions to clarify how I should design a program for you. I will send you a full 10 weeks of training with workouts, rest days, running volume and any additional training that is appropriate for you.  I will email it to you and away you go!  The maximum distance goal in this program is a 1/2 marathon.

20 Week Training Program

Start by filling out my questionnaire at the link below and sending it back to me right away!  I will follow up with questions to clarify how I should design a program for you.  I will send you a full 20 weeks of training with workouts, rest days, running volume and any additional training that is appropriate for you.   I will email it to you and away you go!  This program can go up to a full marathon.
